20cm Polished Brass Mechanical Skeleton Table Clock With Triple Chime By KIENINGER

Measuring 20cm in height, this exquisite mechanical mantel clock features an impressive 125mm diameter silver plated milled chapter ring dial with Roman numerals, neat breguet hands; and a unique skeleton design that allows high visibility into the inner gears of the timepiece. A smaller seconds dial is also featured. The hands can be rotated using a brass knob at the back of the clock, accessed by a glass door. The clock is made from polished and lacquered brass with a faceted front and arched bevelled crystal glass, creating a contemporary aesthetic.

This elegant clock is fitted with a Kieninger polished 4/4 key wound movement with 11 jewel Swiss escapement. The 8 day movement plays triple chimes on 8 tuned steel chime rods, featuring the famous Westminster Chime (also known as the "Big Ben" chime or the "Westminster Quarters"); the Whittington Chime; and the St. Michael's Chimes. On the hour you will hear the full chime followed by a strike for the number of hours. So at 2 o'clock for example, you will hear the full chime followed by 2 strikes. The melody can be selected via a rear mounted lever. The movement and the case are both 100% German made, ensuring an item of high quality.

As this clock is an 8 day mechanism it requires winding once a week, via rear wound movement. In addition to these features, the clock also features a permanent automatic night-time shut-off between the hours of 10pm and 7am to allow you a sound sleep, as well as the option to silence the chime altogether should that be preferred.
