This exquisite Mechanical Shield Wall Clock was designed by world renowned clock makers Hermle from the Black Forest in Germany.

Measuring 62cm in length, this impressive clock showcases the vintage design of a shield clock, a very famous and traditional clock that has been around since the 18th century. The design consists of a square case with an arch on the top of it, also consisting of red floral decals that have been hand painted. The shield clock was the most popular style of clock in the Black Forest until the mid 19th century.

This vintage reproduction features detailed floral motifs painted onto the black coloured solid wood case. This beautiful design offers the benefit of being able to fit into almost any decorating scheme. Additional details include the clock dial with easy to read gold roman numerals and spade hands. Rounding out this unique clock is a swinging red pendulum that hangs below the clock itself, alongside the black coloured weights.

This clock features an 8 day chain driven movement with a passing bell strike on the hour- a single strike will mark the full hour.
