Clocks & Precision Timepieces Since 1874
"For more than 50 years we have been following the concept of combining traditional watchmaking and sophisticated technology with modern design."
It is true that in no other region is clock making so firmly anchored as it is in the Black Forest of Germany. The beginnings of the company Haller go back to 1874, where Philipp Haller mainly dealt with the construction and distribution of wooden tools. This continued in the next generations. After his successful training as a precision watchmaker at Philipp Haas & Söhne in St. Georgen, his grandson Siegfried Haller took over the business. With untiring diligence, a lot of skill and inventor spirit, he perfected the production of mechanical clocks.
Manufactured in Germany
Since the premises in St. Georgen were no longer sufficient due to the rapid expansion of the company, the clock making company was moved to Simonswald in 1953, today's location of Haller Uhrenfabrik GmbH. Shortly thereafter the sons of Siegfried Haller - Siegfried Haller Junior and Manfred Haller - joined the company. Over the next few years, clockmaking grew into a modern, globally active company. Since 2005 Martin Haller, a grandson of the company founder Siegfried Haller Sen., has headed the renowned clockmaking company in Simonswald. This is the third generation of Martin Haller to continue the long-standing family tradition of Haller's clock production at the Simonswald site.
After the Haller clock factory established itself with the production of mechanical precision clocks, the range was constantly extended to this day. So also in 1974, when Haller surprised the professional world with the serial production of an electronically controlled clock. This clock was developed and designed by Siegfried Haller Sen. The revolutionary swing pendulum was equipped with a first-time application of a rigid axle suspension, magnetic pendulum relief and shock absorbers, which - compared to a conventional swing pendulum - has yielded enormous technical and economic advantages. Each Haller anniversary clock is unique, handcrafted with great attention to detail. Haller clocks are precious pieces of jewellery that embellish everyday life and become an eye-catcher in any room.
Everything to Know About Anniversary Clocks
Contrary to popular belief, anniversary clocks weren’t designed to be anniversary gifts—though they could be perfectly suited for such a purpose. Instead, the original clocks were designed to last from one winding to the "anniversary" of the next, a timespan that can be as long as 400 days!
Featuring a spinning pendulum that twirls back and forth at the base of the clock, these treasures are both elegant in design and make excellent conversation starters and beautiful additions to any home. Here at the Clock Shop, we make finding an authentic Haller anniversary clock for your space an easy and enjoyable experience.
