Measuring 28cm in height*, this beautiful clock portrays a delightful scene in the bavarian countryside, featuring a timber chalet with a unique facade and a shingled roof. Out the front of the chalet is a charming scene where a cow stands to the right, whilst a tractor is parked to the left of the chalet. In the middle is a dog sitting patiently enjoying the serenity. This fascinating scene also includes a wooden clock dial in the centre of the chalet, and hand painted details including red window shutters and flowers in the windowsill. One striking feature of this particular clock is the feature of 2 Edelweiss flowers on the chalet. The white, star-shaped Edelweiss flower is unique to the Alps - mainly Alpine Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Its name means “Noble White” and represents strength and toughness because it survived the harshest winters at very, very high altitudes. It also represents a symbol for bravery, courage and love.
