A Unique Design That Features A Whistling Bird

Looking for a cuckoo clock that offers something a little bit different from the rest? Why not consider this charming 8 Day Mechanical Chalet Cuckoo Clock designed by world renowned clock makers ROMBA from the Black Forest in Germany, where the company was established in 1894.

Measuring 44cm in height*, this impressive clock features deep and detailed carvings in the solid wood, including delicate motifs and foliage adorning the exterior of the design. These detailed carvings provide a perfect alternative to the bold straight carvings that make up the house architecture itself. Nestled in amongst the leaf foliage around the face of the house are four birds positioned at different places around the clock dial. The clock also features timber pendulum that hangs below the clock itself, alongside the wooden weights. A chalet style roof sits at the crown of the piece with individual hand laid shingles; whilst the cuckoo door sits directly below it.

This particular clock runs on an 8 day mechanism, and therefore needs to be wound once a week simply by pulling the weights. The in-built cuckoo of this clock calls the time each hour and once at half past, with a manual night shut off function should that be preferred. There is no music with this clock. Perhaps the most fascinating feature of this clock is that instead of music that would normally follow the cuckoo call, this particular clock instead features a beautiful mechanical bird whistle instead.
